Once you see a doctor it’s great. But waiting times are getting longer and seeing a particular doctor more difficult. Also an issue not being able to get medicines from the pharmacy that the doctor has prescribed Friday 19 December
I was very ill but the doctor and all the staff kept checking on me making sure I was okay and had everything I needed. Thursday 18 December
I have been cared for by this practice since the 1950’s and, whilst medical practices and techniques have undoubtedly changed and improved, the doctors providing their expertise over those many years have always been to a high and caring standard, albeit somewhat ‘different’ when Dr Rowbotham was working on his own!! The practice now includes a manager who ensures that there are staff in place to maintain the high standards, which includes nurses, dispensing staff, reception staff and others who patients will rarely, if ever see but who make up the complete package of professional health care. I have many friends who are not in this practice and I know that they do not have the same levels of service that the staff at Park Lane Surgery provide. I will resist naming individual members of the team but, my wife and I have received exceptional help and support following a difficult health issue during 2025 and, we cannot thank two of the doctors enough as they have been there throughout and are still actively involved as recovery progresses. The reception staff have consistently facilitated the access to the doctors concerned and they are a credit to the practice. Also, the nurses and others in the team, including the manager Vikki have all played their own parts in helping us cope with the events to date. Finally, having previously worked in environments where others depend upon you providing a personal service, I do understand how and why some individuals may feel frustration if their call is not answered within seconds or a short time frame or, there are no appointments when you need one… but, whilst that may happen in so many aspects of life, we personally feel that Park Lane Surgery consistently provides excellent service and this message is to express our thanks and gratitude for their work. I am suffering from epilepsy and struggling massively. I told Dr Garget how much I am struggling, to a point of being suicidal, he said he would pass all this on to my neurologist, who I have tried to contact myself through the epilepsy nurse, but had no real response. This illness is an absolute living nightmare, I only stay alive for my wife, as I know my suicide would affect her massively as she has been amazing at caring for me. Tuesday 16 December
The Gp practice is so friendly from the moment you walk through to reception to meeting your GP. My Gp- Dr Garget, was very caring and suggested a plan that we were both comfortable with to proceed with my treatment. Very happy Wednesday 10 December
